
The
following rules are set to provide for the orderly conduct of our racing
program. No implied Warranty of Safety shall result from the publication,
or compliance of these rules. They are to be as a guide and are in NO WAY a
guarantee against injury or death to participants, spectators, or officials. Any
interpretation of the rules is left up to the Officials, whose decision is FINAL
and not subject to protest.
Just because it is not written, does not mean you can do it!!!!! Any of
these rules may be modified at any time for the betterment of racing.
Safety:
Must have
standard safety equipment. 4 point roll cage min. must be padded in driver’s
area. Must have a 5 point safety harness, must be in good condition and be
mounted with grade 8 bolts harness cannot be more than 5 years old and must have
factory tags to prove it! All cars must have window net, and be securely
fastened at the bottom and have a quick release latch at top. Racing approved
helmet of a current standards of 95 snell rating or later and a clean (with no
holes) SFI approved fire suit. Must have fully charged fire extinguisher system,
and be reachable by driver. Fuel cells are mandatory and must be securely
fastened. Gloves
are recommended. Ignition switch must be push-pull type and be easily reachable.
Must have an aluminum racing seat with headrest and be securely fastened to roll
cage. Must have battery disconnect switch and be easy access behind driver’s
seat.

ABSOLUTELY
NO TOLERANCE ON ANY SAFETY RULES!
Chassis:
104” min. wheel
base, Stock type frame or square tubing.
Frames may be tubular; springs must be 4” minimum. Coil over and coil
over eliminators allowed. 1 shock per wheel, no remote canister adjustable
shocks. Rear end must be factory production. No I.R.S. Quick change allowed. No
Traction Control of any kind permitted. Max. Tread width of 80 inches to be
measured from outside of tires.
Engine
Package A:
GM ENGINE P/N 88958604 OR P/N 88958603
Will be
permitted. All engines must be sealed by the manufacturer or Barberton Speedways
certified engine rebuilder and must remain in the shipped condition. Barberton
Speedway Officials reserve the right to confiscate, or impound any engine at any
time. Competitors refusing confiscation, impounding will be disqualified from
event and all future events until engine issue has been solved. If engine is
found to be tampered with it will not be returned. Disqualification includes
forfeiture of all monies, points earned for that event. Teams may be subjected
to additional fines, penalties and or point’s loss, based on inspection of the
engine. May use any 4bbl. Carburetor. Max. 1inch adapter. Any Package A that
uses 1.6 rockers or not using stock balancer must add 50lbs.
Engine
Package B: Small
blocks only not to exceed 360 cid. Heads must be steel 23 Degree. Cams
must be flat tappet. Engine must maintain stock stroke, Intake may be aluminum.
Carb must be a stock 2 bbl Holley 4412 with no modifications
(Except choke butterfly may be removed) 1” max. Adapter. Any Carb not
meeting stock specs will be required to add weight.
Engine
Location is to be #1 spark plug to upper ball joint with a 3” tolerance.
The
min. crankshaft height is 10 ˝ inches. Clutch must work and Trans must have
reverse. 360 degree Sema type blow proof bell housing.
Ignition
System: All
cars must use MSD box #6Al or 6Aln with a 6400 rpm chip. ( Track will supply
chip ) All chips will be sealed by track. All boxes must be mounted on right
side of dashboard out of drivers reach .Barberton
Weights:
Engine Package A
Must weight 2750 lbs. including driver after race. 60% left side max.
Weight:
Engine Package B
Must weight 2850lbs including driver after race. 60% left side max.
Bodies:
All cars must use
template body and fit all templates. Cars failing to meet tolerances have the
option to make repairs or add weight. ABC template body is recommended. Body
Specs on www.fivestarbodies.com
Numbers
on both sides of car and on roof must be read clearly and a min. of 24” in
height and 4” wide.
All numbers must be registered prior to your first race night. . All cars
must run the point fund sponsor decal across the top of the windshield to be
eligible for point fund.
Will be supplied by track.
Wheels:
10” steel
wheels only.
Tires:
Goodyear
#2862 or # 2863 track tires on 10” steel wheels.
A minimum durometer reading will be in effect. Durometer TBA. Tires may
be checked at any time during the course of race day. Any tire found with a
discrepancy may be confiscated.
Exhaust:
Must
have mufflers. AND MEET SOUND REQUIREMENTS
Radios:
A One-way
receiving radio Scanner Locked to Frequency (151.955) is MANDATORY
and must be operable at all times car is on track. Any car that does not respond
to radio communication for the line up on restarts will be placed at the rear of
pack. Any communications between pit crew and driver will result in complete
disqualification!
Unsportsmen
Like Conduct: ANY OWNER, DRIVER, PIT MEMBER MAY BE FINED AND/OR SUSPENDED. FINES
MUST BE PAID BEFORE PARTICIPANT CAN RETURN TO THE TRACK.
Major
Rule Infractions: Any
driver or car found illegal after the feature with any major rule infraction
will forfeit all money and points for that night. With possible loss of points
earned up to that night and may be fined.

PRACTICE
WILL BE EVERY WEDNESDAY FROM
